Robotics in Urologic Reconstruction
Robotic platforms are now the dominant operative technology in reconstructive urology — for pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation, VVF repair, augmentation cystoplasty, posterior urethroplasty, and increasingly for single-incision work. The da Vinci system has been the reference platform for two decades, but the landscape is rapidly widening: Hugo, Versius, Hinotori, Avatera, REVO-I, Senhance, KangDuo, Toumai, and Dexter have entered clinical use, and the da Vinci SP has opened an entirely new class of single-port reconstructive approaches.
This subsection covers the platforms, their manufacturers, and the reconstructive procedures for which they are used.
