Biography
Alfred E. Bent was a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Dalhousie University and head of its gynecology division as of 2010.1 Bent graduated from Dalhousie medical school in 1973 and returned to Halifax for residency after practicing family medicine in Wolfville.1 Bent completed a one-year urogynecology fellowship in Long Beach, California, in 1981–1982.1 Bent served as president of the American Urogynecologic Society in 1994–1995.2
