Known for​

  • Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network’s TOMUS trial (2010). As network steering committee chair, Gormley oversaw the randomized comparison of retropubic and transobturator midurethral slings.4 Cited on WARWIKI: Retropubic Mid-Urethral Sling.
  • 2012 AUA/SUFU overactive bladder guideline (2012). Gormley was lead author of the AUA/SUFU guideline on diagnosis and treatment of nonneurogenic overactive bladder.5
  • Urinary Incontinence Treatment Network’s VaLUE trial (2012). Gormley oversaw the trial comparing office evaluation alone with added preoperative urodynamics before uncomplicated stress-incontinence surgery.6 Cited on WARWIKI: Stress Urinary Incontinence (Female).
