Known for​

  • Comparative urine-marker study in interstitial cystitis (2002). Erickson compared multiple urine markers in patients with interstitial cystitis and controls, identifying antiproliferative factor as a diagnostic candidate.3
  • Assessment of NIDDK cystoscopic criteria for interstitial cystitis (2005). Her study found that patients meeting the NIDDK cystoscopic criteria did not form a distinct group by urine markers or biopsy findings.4

Contributions​

Erickson coauthored the 2022 AUA guideline summary on diagnosis and treatment of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome.5
