Biography​

Melissa R. Kaufman is the Patricia and Rodes Hart Professor of Urologic Surgery and chief of the Division of Reconstructive Urology and Pelvic Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.12 She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine and completed urology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.3 She completed a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt under Roger Dmochowski.23 She is a past president of the Society of Women in Urology.3
