Contributions​

Her research covers sexual function in women with pelvic floor disorders and randomized trials of perioperative analgesia in urogynecologic surgery. She has served as an associate editor of Sexual Medicine and received the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Mentor of the Year award in 2012.1

  • Liposomal bupivacaine at robotic sacrocolpopexy (2018). Senior author of a placebo-controlled trial in 70 women undergoing robotic sacrocolpopexy with posterior repair; pain scores 18 hours after surgery and narcotic use did not differ between liposomal bupivacaine and saline.3 Cited on WARWIKI: Liposomal Bupivacaine.
  • Sexual health terminology in pelvic floor dysfunction (2018). Second author of the joint International Urogynecological Association and International Continence Society report, which set out more than 100 consensus definitions for assessing sexual health in women with pelvic floor dysfunction.4 Cited on WARWIKI: Female Sexual Dysfunction.
  • Benign vulvar and vaginal cysts (2021). Senior author of a review of the epidemiology, embryology, presentation and management of vulvovaginal cysts, noting that most are benign and asymptomatic and that excision, when needed, has a high success rate.5 Cited on WARWIKI: Vaginal Cysts and Masses.
